Third Intermediate Period c. 23rd/24th Dynasty - 837-712 B.C. A nicely presented fragment of linen wrapping from the outer wrappings of an Ancient Egyptian Mummy. This linen fragment was unearthed in 1971 at the famous site of Saqqara, Egypt and hails from an old Norfolk collection. Stains from oils and unguents used in the wrapping process are still clearly visible. The Linen fragment nicely presented in a contemporary white, glass fronted frame with a fold out stand to allow it to stand on a shelf or cabinet but can also be hung on the wall if desired. An interesting addition to any Egyptian collection. Linen segment approximately 65mm x 55mm wide, frame measures 195 mm tall x 145mm wide.
