c.3500-3000 B.C. A nicely patinated and pleasant Danish Neolithic flint sickle / knife. Fashioned from an attractive pale grey flint, bi-facially well worked to form both an inner and outer blade, the inner blade to act as a slicing sickle for cutting cereal crops and grasses, the curved other blade to act as an effective knife blade. A few very minor old peripheral knocks (not detracting) otherwise intact and in very nice condition with a most appealing overall shiny surface patination and ageing. Clear burnishing of the sickle blade edge from use. A very nice and affordable example of the type, 83mm long x 27mm wide x 8mm thick.
