Neolithic c.2500 B.C. A nicely worked Neolithic flint discoidal scraper / knife, found in the early 1970's on Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire, close to the World famous Prehistoric site of Stonehenge. Ex old Wiltshire collection. Skillfully made from a mottled white and grey flint flake. Well worked on one half to form the main curved cutting and scraping blade. It is rare to get stone tools from the vicinity of Stonehenge as it was designated a World Heritage site in 1986 and as such no items can no longer be excavated or removed from this site. A decent Neolithic tool from a very famous and now protected World Heitage site; intact and in nice condition with good surface ageing, 57mm long x 45mm wide x 14mm thick.
