Product Description

c.5000 - 3000 B.C. A well worked and attractive Neolithic flint scraper found at Freston, on the Ancient foreshore of the River Orwell, Nr. Ipswich, Suffolk and from an old Suffolk collection. Expertly fashioned from a chunky flake of banded light/dark grey flint, smooth underside but copiously worked on the upper surface to form a well defined curved cutting and scraping edge, totally intact and in excellent condition with an appealing overall shiny patination. A nice example of the type, 70mm long x 60mm at widest x 23mm at thickest

A nicely worked Neolithic flint scraper, River Orwell, Freston, Suffolk.
