Product Description

c.9th Century A.D. An ornately decorated Viking bronze open work belt mount / strap end found some years back in Norfolk and from an old Norfolk collection. Very ornate stylised decoration in a form meant to represent the "Tree of Life". Lower-most segment missing that would have attached it to the belt otherwise complete and in reasonable condition with reddish / brown surface patination, a decent and affordable example of the type, 29mm long x 25mm wide.
