c.4th Century B.C. A pleasant Ancient Greek black glazed terracotta oil lamp with a small circular pedestal base, bulbous circular body and with good sized spout. Top of lamp has an impressed circular design around a large central filler hole. Original black glaze now slightly oxidised and appears dark brown in tone with a pleasant iridescence. Some rubbing to glaze and light surface accretion in parts from its time buried in the earth otherwise the lamp is totally intact and in very good, un-repaired condition, a pleasant and robust example of the type, 83mm long x 56mm wide x 37mm high.
