c.4th/3rd Century B.C. A pleasant Ancient Greek shallow terracotta bowl on small ring base found near Athens, many years back and from a West Midlands collection. A pleasantly shaped shallow bowl fabricated from a buff terracotta with applied red / brown glazing; it has a small pedestal base, flared shallow body and a thick rim around the top. Some rubbing to glaze within the bowl and a few minor old chips around the rim from its time buried in the earth, otherwise intact and in nice overall condition, a pleasant and appealing Ancient Greek vessel, 140mm diameter x 40mm deep.
