Product Description

c.14th Century A.D. A pleasant and complete Medieval bronze buckle and plate from Nottinghamshire. A pleasant buckle with an ornate loop, intact pin and an elongate plain buckle plate with two small rivets at the end which would have fastened it to a leather strap or thin belt. Probably once silvered or gilded but now purely bronze with a dark green surface patination, a pleasant example of the type, 36mm long x 15mm wide.
