Product Description
c.8th / 9th Century A.D. A pleasant Anglo Saxon bronze "Zoomorphic" strap end found in Nottinghamshire. The tip of the strap end features a Zoormorphic Rodent like head with large ears and there are remnants of a carved, interlaced design on the main upper side of the strapend, rivet holes at the butt end for fixing to a thin leather strap. Some light wear to surfaces but still generally clear and collectable, an affordable example of the type, 36mm long x 8mm wide.
