c.1st Century B.C. - 1st Century A.D. A pleasant Celtic "La Tene III" bronze bow brooch, found in Yorkshire and from a Scottish collection. Fabricated from a single piece of bronze to form the catchplate, bow, spring and pin. Pin missing as is typical for these brooches otherwise intact and in good overall condition, pleasant dark patination, a decent example of the type, 45mm long x 21mm deep.
