c.3500-3000 B.C. A pleasant Neolithic / Pre-Dynastic Egyptian flint / chert, tanged, large arrow or spear point collected many years ago and from an old Canadian private collection. Very nicely fashioned from a mottled reddish grey flint or chert, bi-facially well worked in an elongate tapered leaf form with a broad taper tang at the base for insertion into a wooden shaft. Tiny old knock to very tip (not detracting) otherwise intact and in very nice overall condition with good surface ageing and patination, a pleasant example of the type, 70mm long x 24mm wide x 7mm thick.
