c.3000-2500 B.C. A pleasant Neolithic tanged flint arrowhead found in Hertfordshire. Nicely fashioned from a pleasant beige / tan coloured flint, of elongate triangular form, bi-facially pressure flaked to form good sharp blade edges and has a good sharp point, a small rounded tang at base for insertion into the end of a wooden arrow shaft, this would have been fixed into place using tree resin and sinew to form a strong join. Minute knock to one lower corner otherwise totally intact and in lovely condition, a pleasant example of the type, 30mm long x 18mm wide.
