c.3rd/4th Century A.D. A pleasant nd still functional pair of Roman bronze cosmetic tweezers found in North Yorkshire and from an old Yorkshire collection. Fabricated from high tin content bronze giving it an almost brass like tone, in good overall shape and condition, probably once suspended on a small chain and formed part of a Roman ladies travelling cosmetic set. These cosmetic sets were often hung from a thin belt around the ladies waist for convenience. A pleasant little Roman item, 46mm long x 4mm wide.
