c.1st Century A.D. A pleasant Roman bronze "Polden Hill" Fibula / Brooch found in the West Midlands and from a Nottinghamshire collection. A nicely shaped brooch with slim "dolphin like" arched bow with a thick, truncated "T" shaped spring enclosure at the top. Spring still insitu but pin now missing. A few small areas of pitting otherwise good with a pleasant orangey / brown patination, 43mm long x 16mm wide x 17mm deep.
