c.2nd / 3rd Century A.D. A pleasant Roman domed bronze casket mount found in the Central Midlands, in the form a stylised "Lions Head", the design alluding to the Lions muzzle, head with mane around. Probably one of many that would have once adorned an ornate piece of furniture or wooden casket, possibly once silvered or gilded but now merely bronze with a pleasant olive green patina. Remnants of large iron fixing on underside, a pleasant and typically Roman bronze decorative mount in good condition,
