SOLD

c.5000-4000 B.C. A pleasantly worked Neolithic flint unifacial arrowhead found in the early 20th Century in the Dordogne, France and from an old French collection. Worked from a elongate tear drop shaped flint flake of a pleasant dark flint, flat underside but well worked on upper side to form a distinct and functional flint point with still sharp edges and tip. Some cortex remaining on butt end where it would have been once hafted into the end of a wooden shaft. Totally intact and in very nice condition with an old shiny patina to worked surfaces, a pleasant and reasonable example of the type, 35mm long x 13mm at widest
