c.8th-10th Century A.D. A rare and unusual Viking lead Dagger pendant / Talisman, excavated in Northern Europe many years back and from a Norfolk collection. Bi-facial and expertly mould formed featuring clear detail of blade and handle; this Dagger pendant depicts the typical Northern Viking "drawn dagger" with the characteristic extruded metal handle folding back on itself to form a large looped handle, and also in this case forming a suspension loop for the pendant. Totally intact and in very good condition for Ancient lead with a pleasant shiny dark surface patination, Approx. 40mm long x 10mm wide, supplied in display box, a rare and unusual Viking lead pendant.
