c.6th-7th Century A.D. A rare Anglo Saxon Translucent glass "doughnut" bead found many years back on a Early Anglo Saxon habitation site in Ipswich and from an old Essex collection. Of simple, flattened "doughnut" form, centrally pierced for suspension, intact and in excellent condition , a pleasant Early Saxon glass bead, 13mm diameter x 4mm thick
