A rare Mesolithic Chert steep-end scraper formed on chunky flint flake and blade core excavated close to the famous Culverwell habitation site, Portland Bill, Isle of Portland, Dorset and from a Hampshire Geologists collection but originally hailing from an older collection amassed in the 1970's. A steep-ended scraper blade worked on the end of a chunky flake and blade tool core. Clearly worked and well defined, a very good example of an unusual Mesolithic hand tool from a famous Mesolithic site, 68mm long x 55mm at widest x 31mm at thickest point,
