Early Bronze Age c.1870 - 1670 B.C. A rare piece of Bronze Age wood found in the mid 20th Century at the site of an Ancient Bronze Age boat excavation (Ferriby?) in East Yorkshire and from an old Irish collection. The piece of wood may well have come from one of the boats excavated there and measures 60mm long x 20mm wide and is still stable and robust despite being submerged in mud for many millennia. Supplied in a plastic display box, a rare chance to obtain some ancient wood from a notable Bronze age site (and possibly from a Bronze age boat).
