c.2nd/3rd Century A.D. A scarce and excellent Romano-Egyptian decorative "Frog Lamp" found many years ago in the Egyptian Delta region and from an old Norfolk Collection. A very nice example of this appealing form of squat decorative terracotta oil lamp and featuring moulded concentric ring design around filler hole and a radiate petal like design around the upper surface, short fluted spout with scroll like design on top. A couple of areas of very minor rubbing but otherwise totally intact and in very nice condition with decent, sound surfaces, a very nice example of the type, supplied with small plastic display stand, 86mm long x 67mm wide x 24mm deep.
