c.13th/14th Century A.D. An unusual and interesting group of 11 x Medieval silvered Bronze decorative belt studs all found in the same field near Scarborough, North Yorkshire many years back. Each stud is of a floral like design of six petals, each petal featuring an embossed pellet, all around a larger central embossed pellet. Silvering still in evidence on many of the studs and still bright. The reverse of the studs have points which would have been hammered into a thick leather belt or other garment. An interesting group of Medieval decorative items, supplied in a display box, studs typically 12-14mm diameter.
