SOLD
c.1300 A.D. A scarce and unusual Medieval bronze "Phallic" decorative belt mount found in Norfolk many years back and from an old Norfolk collection. This unusual little mount is in the stylised form of a phallus and testes and has two fixing tangs on the reverse for fixing to a leather strap or belt. Probably once silvered or gilded but now merely bronze in colouration. Totally intact and in very nice condition with good surfaces, a nice example of the type, 21mm x 13mm
