Late Bronze age c. 800 B.C. A large and excellent Bronze Age bronze bead unearthed on a Bronze Age habitation site in Germany many years back and from an old Norfolk collection. Of elongate hollow Bi-Conical form with wide flared rims at either end. Possibly once silvered or gilded but now featuring a most attractive shiny light olive green patina, and possibly one of many strung together as part of an elaborate necklace. Totally intact apart from small hole on one side, not believed to be damage but a casting defect from its manufacture; in lovely overall condition, of good metal with nice surfaces, supplied in display box, 28mm long x 12mm diameter at widest, a nice example of the type.
