c.9th-10th Century A.D. A small & unusual late Anglo Saxon lead pendant / talisman found on the Wandsworth foreshore of the River Thames, London and from an old collection of Thames finds amassed in the 1990's. This unusual little pendant is of a pointed lozenge shape, plain reverse but with embossed stylised triangulated designs on the front face, small punched hole at top for suspension. Totally intact and in good condition for ancient lead with a pleasant overall dark patina from its time buried in the Thames mud, 30mm long x 8mm wide x 4mm thick
