c.4000-3000 B.C. A small, attractive and nicely worked Neolithic flint borer / burin found near Ipswich, Suffolk. Struck from the edge of a small flint cobble and skillfully worked to form a distict and functional boring point. Thicker main body sits well between thumb and forefinger for use. Nicely aged and patinated, a pleasant and appealing little Neolithic flint hand tool. 28mm long x 24mm wide x 11mm thick.
