Late Neolithic c.2500-2000 B.C. A small but very appealing Neolithic ground stone axe found on a farmers field on the outskirts of Cambridge in 1979 and from a Cambridgeshire collection. Expertly fashioned from a pleasant hard light grey granite like stone with a smoothly ground, polished and well defined blade edge. Intact and very nice condition, an appealing and tactile example,  65mm long x 45mm wide x 27mm thick.
