Product Description
c.3000 B.C. A small Mesolithic truncated and serrated flint hand saw found many years back in the Avon Valley near Fordingbridge, Hampshire. Unifacially worked with a medial ridge on the upper surface with denticulated blade edges either side. Small area of cortex on butt end with distinct flaked notch suggestive of once being hafted in a small handle for use. Well fashioned from an attractive semi-translucent grey flint. In very nice condition with a pleasant patination, 58mm long x 22mm wide x 5mm at thickest.
