c.2nd/3rd Century A.D. A small Roman bronze "Cupids face" mount from North Yorkshire.Of hollow moulded form and possibly once one of many adorning a small casket or item of furniture. Most likely once silvered or gilded but now merely dark bronze with a heavy dark green surface patination. Intact and in good overall condition with facial details still reasonably clear, a pleasant and reasonably priced Roman decorative piece, 24mm wide x 24mm deep x 7mm thick
