Late Neolithic c.2000 B.C. A superb and finely pressure flaked Neolithic leaf shaped flint arrowhead found many years ago in Kingsdown, Cheddar, Somerset and from a Cornish collection. Expertly fashioned from an attractive semi-translucent beige / pale grey couloured flint and beautifully workd over both surfaces with copious pressure flaking, of thin section with a good tip and still sharp blade edges. Old white ink inscription citing "Kingsdown, Cheddar" on one side and old collection number on reverse. A couple of tiny edge knocks, (not detracting in anyway) otherwise totally intact and in super condition with good ageing and a shiny surface patination. A lovely little item, 36mm long x 21mm wide.
