A superb, well worked Neolithic flint scraper / knife tool with Quartz inclusion, Norfolk (M16)
Our Price: £45.00

c.3000 B.C. A superb, well worked Neolithic flint scraper / knife tool with two veins of Quartz inclusions found many years ago near Swaffham, Norfolk and from an old Norfolk collection. This scraper / knife tool is fashioned froma pleasant white and pale grey flint, very well worked on either side to produce good blade edges all round and most attractively has two small veins containing Quartz crystal inclusions which would have formed some 90 million years ago when the flint was first created. The sparkling of the quartz crystals must have made this tool extra special to the Neolithic person that made it. Totally intact and a very nicely defined example with excellent surfaces and good aging and patination, 54mm long x 39mm wide x 9mm at thickest
