Upper Paleolithic c.50,000 to 30,000 B.C. Old ink collection inscription on one side stating "Egypt 39", more recently from a long established Canadian lithic collection. A bi-facially and well very worked flint axe with good retouching to blade edges. Totally intact and in very nice condition with a rich and very attractive mottled black and brown patina desert patination, so typical of Egyptian Upper Paleolithic desert finds. An excellent example, 96mm long x 48mm wide x 18mm thick.
