SOLD
c.7th/8th Century A.D. A very large and unusual Anglo Saxon decorative bronze pendant. Believed to be of U.K. origin, purchased in the 1990's and from a U.S. collection. Of circular form with applied decoration in the form of several embossed concentric bands, alternately populated with small raised pellets. Around the suspension hole on the reverse there are four applied radiating lines, much like sun rays. The pendant is robust with decent surfaces but has some minor loss, however approx.70% remains intact. An interesting Saxon item, 49mm diameter.
