Late Dynastic Period c.600-500 B.C. A very long (circa 48 inch) restrung necklace consisting of many hundreds of small Ancient Egyptian multicoloured Faience (an early porcelain like material) beads in shades of yellow, white, blue, black, tan and brown. The beads were found near Cairo in the 1930's and come from an old Norfolk collection. Great value for such a long string; can be doubled over and easily worn again if required, effectively creating a couble stringed necklace. The beads still have good colour and are in very nice overall condition for their great age.
