c.3rd/4th Century A.D. A very nice and complete Roman red ware terracotta shouldered bowl originally found in Tunisia, North Africa many years ago and from a West country collection. This appealing bowl has a flat round base with straight sharply angled sides leading up to a wide flat rim at the top. Some light surface dust in places as excavated otherwise totally intact and un-repaired, in very nice overall condition, robust with good sound surfaces, a very nice example of a Roman domestic bowl, 104mm diameter x 34mm deep.
