Carboniferous period to Eocene Periods c.350 million to 50 million years old. A very nice group of 4 x large fossil Bi-valves / Brachiopods from an old Museum collection display. Collected and displayed in the early 20th Century and later from an old UK fossil collection, three of these larger than normal examples has traces of glue and original mounting board on the underside which could be removed with a solvent if required. The group consists of a Spirifer brachiopod (70mm wide - top left in main photo) dating to the Carboniferous period, a long distant relative of the oyster 110mm wide, a smaller clam 46mm wide and a good sized and well defined early Scallop 80mm wide, these 3 dating from the Eocene period. A great value study or retail group, all good sized example and old collection pieces,
