c.13th/14th Century A.D. A very nice Medieval Lead Pilgrims Cross / Crucifix found in Norfolk and from a Norfolk collection. A good size cast lead crucifix with slightly flared terminals and line decorations along each arm. Top arm elongated and with a small suspension loop on the end. These crucifixes would have been procured and worn by Pilgrims visiting holy shrines and places of worship during Medieval times. Totally intact and in very good condition for ancient lead, could possibly even be re-mounted on a suspension loop and worn again if so desired. Supplied in a display box, a nice and appealing Medieval artefact, 33mm long x 22mm wide.
