c.1st Century B.C. - 1st Century A.D. A very nice quality Celtic "La Tene III" bronze bow brooch complete with spring found in Norfolk and from an Essex collection. Expertly fabricated from a single piece of bronze to form the catchplate, bow, spring and pin. Tip of pin and very edge of catchplate missing otherwise totally intact and a lovely brooch of excellent metal, superb smooth surfaces and an attractive shiny deep brown patination, a very nice example of the type, 49mm long x 12mm across spring x 17mm deep.
