c.10000 - 5000 B.C. A well worked Mesolithic flint knife tool that sits well in the hand. Originally found near Beccles, Suffolk at a known Mesolithic habitation site and from a Suffolk collection. Well defined for a Mesolithic tool with clear pressure flaking all around blade edge, blade distinct and functional. Pebble cortex remaining over much of the blade side of the tool, nicely aged with good patina, a nice example of the type, 73mm long x 47mm wide x 24mm thick
