An 18th Century childs bronze toy cannon (exploded through use). SOLD
Our Price: £0.00

SOLD

c.A.D.1750. A miniature childs bronze toy cannon, accurately modelled on a full size cannon and complete with fuse hole. These miniature cannons could be primed with gun powder, loaded with a shot and fired, often with disastrous consequences as in this case; it is clear that too much charge was used and the cannon exploded possibly even injuring those around it. An interesting and quirky antique curio, found in Dorset. Supplied in display box. 50mm long x 15mm diameter.
