Product Description

c.9th/10th Century A.D. An affordable and pleasant Viking bronze Stirrup mount found in Cambridgeshire, very stylised but probably alluding to a simplistic Dragons head. Most likely one of a pair that adorned the upper corners of a Viking iron stirrup hoop. In good overall condition with smooth surfaces and a pleasant dark bronze toning. An affordable Viking artefact, 35mm long x 8mm wide x 7mm deep.
