c.400,000 - 300,000 B.C. An attractive Early Paleolithic Flint Scraper / Borer tool found in Ancient Gravel deposits being worked in the Sussex area and from an old London collection. Formed from a flint flake with and knapped to create a functional borer point. Some re-touching to sides to form scraping blades. Beautiful old Palaeolithic surface colouration and patination featuring hues of red, brown, tan and yellow, intact and in very nice condition, a pleasant early stone age tool, 52mm x 47mm x 8mm at thickest.
