c.400,000 -300,000 B.C. An excellent and attractive Early Paleolithic Flint Scraper tool from found in Ancient Gravel deposits being worked in the Sussex area and from an old London collection. Formed from a flint flake with a thicker distal end forming a grip and then three flakes have been taken off the opposite end to form a roughly triangular array of blade edges for cutting or scraping purposes. Beautiful old Paleolithic surface colouration and patination featuring hues of red, brown, tan and yellow, minor old knock to top edge otherwise intact and in very nice condition, a pleasant early stone age tool, 55mm x 47mm x 19mm at thickest.
