c.2500-2000 B.C. An excellent and finely worked Neolithic "Tear Drop" shaped flint arrowhead found in Rosedale, North yorkshire in 1975 and from an Essex collection. Expertly fashioned from an attractive beige coloured flint, very uniform with a still sharp tip, bi-facially worked and then finely retouched along the blade edges on either side of the arrowhead to further define and sharpen the edges. Totally intact and in lovely condition, a very nice example of the type, 37mm long x 20mm at widest.
