c.2500 to  2000 B.C. An excellent and very nicely worked Neolithic flint Fabricator tool found on Salisbury Plain in the Early 20th Century close to the famous Stonehenge Megaliths and from an old Early 20th Century West Country lithic collection. Expertly fashioned and flint imbued with the lovely white surface patination from the chalk layers so characteristic of lithics from Salisbury Plain; Uni-facial with a flat underside and copiously and expertly worked on upper surface to perfectly form the functional rounded tips with which this tool would have been used to re-work, re-sharpen & re-touch other flint tools and flint arrow and projectile points to prolong their useful lives. Old inked collection number (33) on upper surface. Totally intact and in excellent condition, and a scarce example from possibly one of the most notable, and now protected, Neolithic World Heritage sites, 69mm long x 15mm wide x 17mm thick
