Middle Bronze Age c.1600 - 900 B.C. An excellent and rare Mid-Bronze Age bronze dagger found many years ago near Coldham, Cambridgeshire and Ex.Simon Camm Collection, Cornwall. [Simon, a retired Geologist, over many decades had amassed the most fantastic collection of only the finest quality and rarest examples of Stone Age and Bronze Age artefact's but has very reluctantly now had to start downsizing his wonderful collection]. The dagger features an elegant, elongate blade with a defined medial ridge on either side and finely ground blade edges on either side, still reasonably sharp, plus a good undamaged tip. The butt of the dagger widens and also features two rivet holes where it would have once been affixed into a wooden or bone handle for use. A few very minor knocks and a very slight and barely perceivable bend at the butt end otherwise totally intact and in very good condition, of sound metal with a pleasant dark bronze patina, a very nice example of the type from a prestigious collection, 154mm long x 39mm wide at butt end
