c.6th/7th Century A.D. An excellent decorated Anglo Saxon "D" shaped buckle with pin found in Cambridgeshire and from a Cambridge collection. This good sized buckle features a thick "D" shaped hoop decorated around its surface with 6 x engraved and punched annulet designs. Totally intact, in very nice condition and complete with original pin. Attractive shiny brown surface patination, a very nice example of the type, 25mm wide x 22mm deep.
