MIS 11 - c.424,000-374,000 years B.C. An excellent Early Paleolithic "Clactonian Industry" large flint borer tool found many years ago at the famous Paleolithic site of East Farm Brick Pit, Barham, Suffolk and from an old Norfolk collection. Nicely fashioned from a thick flake of banded cream, brown and grey coloured flint with a clearly worked, retouched and well defined boring tip. Totally intact and in very nice condition with a most attractive "old Palaeolithic" surface ageing and colouration, plus a nice patination to struck surfaces, a good and much larger example of the type from a notable Paleolithic site, 63mm long x 49mm wide across blade edge x 18mm at thickest.
