Expertly formed from a good sized semi-circular triangular section flint flake with a most attractive honey coloured patina, Detailed working along curved blade edge forming a denticulated (crudely serrated) blade for cutting and sawing. [This tool was excavated in the 1970's from an eroding cliff face at Reculver, Kent which was once the site of a lost river channel with gravel terraces on either side and inhabited from c.450,000 to 60,000 years B.C. Remains of the animals killed for food were also evident at this site and mainly consisted of Wooly Mammoth, Wooly Rhino and Aurochs].
