Hoxnian Interglacial period (MIS 11-10) c.424,000 to 374,000 years old. An excellent Lower Paleolithic flint pointed hand axe / pick, found many years back in Thetford, Norfolk and from an old Norfolk collection. Expertly fashioned from a large flake of mottled grey coloured flint, featuring a wide grip end tapering to an elongated Trihedral curved functional digging point. Intact and in very good condition for its great age with a good old collection patina, an interesting and unusual Paleolithic hand tool and from a notable prehistoric site. 103mm long x 73mm wide x 30mm thick
